The hard working crew onboard the LÉ William Butler Yeats have once again been praised for their efforts after they rescued 149 migrants from a rubber vessel off the coast of Libya earlier today. It is understood the crew made the rescue at 8:45am this morning after they were alerted by authorities that the makeshift vessel carrying the migrants got into difficulty approximately 47 miles off the coast of the Libyan capital, Tripoli. Reports say all migrants were successfully rescued without difficulty and they were given food, water and medical treatment onboard.
