Irene White’s daughter pays tribute to her ‘amazing’ mother

The daughter of Irene White, who was murdered at her home in Dundalk in 2005, has paid tribute to her “amazing” mother. Ms White died of 34 stab wounds in the kitchen of her home, the Ice House, Demesne Road, on April 6th, 2005. It was a struggle to remain strong and deliver my victim impact statement but I’m glad I did it,” Ms McBride said. Ms McBride said she was in school when she was told her mother had died, but was not told that her mother had been murdered. Ms McBride said she and her family never went back to the house where her mother was murdered and it had been demolished recently.
