A former roommate of homicide victim Irene Pearson hopes new information released by Winnipeg police on Tuesday will finally help solve the case. Val Giesbrecht hopes someone comes forward with information about the murder of her former roommate Irene Pearson1:14The two parted ways before Pearson's death but to this day she still remembers how she felt when she heard what happened. She hopes the new plea for information from police will lead to justice for Pearson. Now, nearly four decades after her death police are making a plea to the public in an effort to identify a suspect. Val Giesbrecht once lived with Pearson and at one point the two worked together selling insurance.
