The motion, drafted by Richard Boyd-Barrett of People Before Profit, was amended yesterday to include the provision that Dail Eireann “will work with the French authorities in accordance with national and international law, and liaise with volunteers and youth care professions to identify up to 200 unaccompanied minors previously living in the official camp of Calais.”It also includes a requirement that these minors must have “expressed a desire to come and stay in Ireland.”These will be the first migrants accepted to Ireland from Calais.
