The unregistered motorbikes were seized during police operations in the town to enforce stability on the road and reduce the number of unnecessary accidents. Reports said the youth have since absconded with all motorbikes parked at the station. The seized motorbikes were being prepared before court. The youth, who were holding cutlasses, vandalised the station with stones and other crude weapons, forcing some of the officers on duty to run for cover.
