Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi - ReutersBAGHDAD - 30 November 2017: Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi stressed on Thursday that all border crossings are under the control of the joint federal authority and not local authorities.He stressed that the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority is still in charge of operating Al Najaf International Airport after its board was dissolved, dismissing as groundless any other reports in this regard.Airports are considered border outlets and so they are under the control of federal and not local authorities, he said.
