Photo: Getty ImagesMOSUL, Iraq—Iraqi military forces seized control of at least half of the Mosul’s international airport on Thursday, an Iraqi military official said, in their most significant advance so far in their fight to retake the Islamic State-held western side of the city. Iraqi forces breached the outer edge of the airport earlier in the day, said the official, Brigadier Yahya Rasool, spokesman for Iraq’s joint operations command.
