Iranian President Masoud ​Pezeshkian has said ‌in a letter addressed to ​the ​American people that ⁠his country ​harbours no ​enmity towards ordinary Americans, Press TV ​reported ​on Wednesday. He said in ‌his ⁠letter that portraying Iran as a ​threat ​was "neither ⁠consistent with ​historical reality ​nor ⁠with present-day observable facts". Earlier Donald Trump claimed on social media that the US would only consider a ceasefire with Iran if the Hormuz Strait opens. A cruise missile hit an oil tanker off Qatar’s coast on Wednesday, the defence ministry said. A fully-loaded Kuwaiti oil tanker came under attack off Dubai the day before, one of more than 20 ships attacked by Iran during the war.
