Earlier in his visit, Jaishankar met with Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash. The discussions underscored the significance of India’s long-term involvement in the Chabahar Port and the strategic INSTC project. The North-South International Transport Corridor, described as a multi-modal transport route, connects the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea through Iran.
