Iran awards Mustafa Prize to Turkish-French, Iranian scientists


This is second time that the Muslim scienc­e award has been handed outIran awarded it’s $500,000 Mustafa Prize to two computer scientists on Sunday. This is the second time that the science award has been handed out, and is only given to Muslim scientists from all over the globe- as well as non-Muslims who live in Muslim majority countries. Sourena Sattari, Iran’s vice president in charge of scientific affairs, said in a statement that Turkish-French Sami Erol Gelenbe and Iran’s Mohammad Amin Shokrollahi had been awarded the prize for their work on systems assessment in model making and computer coding.
