I’m not accusing anybody of anything, but I would be interested to see what preparation actually happened to try and get the game on. Do Town need that many reinforcements? Chuba Akpom and Ivan Azon are in that bracket for me, with neither really making that number nine position their own in George Hirst’s absence. The January transfer window has worked magic in both of Town’s promotion-winning campaigns, so we need Mr Ashton to wave that wand once more. We did ok in this competition last season, so I’m hoping for the same this time around.
