One of Reach plc’s big-city websites has overtaken one of its sister titles to become the most-read regional press title online. As a result, long-running top spot holder the Manchester Evening News was pushed into second after its page views dropped by a third year-on-year from 80m down to 53m. Total unique users at the MEN were also down by the same proportion, although it did retain its top spot in the charts when measured by that metric too. Reach titles occupied all of the top 10 places in the unique user charts, although they all experienced year-on-year declines of between 12 and 37pc.
