IPOH: The Ipoh City Council is standing by its action in the shooting and killing of a dog here. In a statement published on its Facebook page, the Ipoh City Council said it had always been consistent in its enforcement efforts on dog ownership, including actions on strays. On the incident that took place in Pengkalan Gate on Wednesday (May 22), it said its enforcement team was tasked with resolving a recurring complaint on strays. A video of the city council enforcement personnel shooting and killing a stray dog went viral following the incident.
