Tuam councillor Donagh Killilea said it is time Irish Rail rowed back on its decision not to invest any money in the station until the outcome of an All-Ireland rail review is known, following reports of vandalism in the station in recent weeks. Graffiti has been daubed on the station walls alongside the platform and there has been evidence of drink and drug taking in the area. “There are very few places in the town available for those wanting to engage in anti-social behaviour and the railway station is the perfect spot now that the building is no longer in use,” he said...
