A worker at the Voisey's Bay mine in northern Labrador was injured in a “fall of ground” — an incident where the ceiling of an underground tunnel collapsed — on Saturday. In a statement to CBC News, a Vale Base Metals official said the worker received emergency care on site and is now in stable condition in hospital. The company said it notified the regulatory authorities and the incident is being investigated.
