Invercargill driver Liam MacDonald had the perfect weekend in round three of the 2016/2017 BNT NZ Touring Car Championship at Ruapuna in Christchurch during the weekend. That assured the young driver the round win, his third from three in the championship and extended his points lead. It was a tough weekend for fellow Invercargill driver Jamie Conroy in the NZ Touring Car Championship. He was upbeat about next weekend's second round at his home circuit of Teretonga Park in Invercargill.
