Share TweetBy Dhel NazarioThe Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI), in collaboration with the DOST Regional Offices (RO), is set to conduct the 2019 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) all over the country. RICE recognizes the indispensability of local inventors and innovators as contributors for national economic development by providing them encouragement through forms of cash rewards, certificates, and plaques. This year’s theme, “Science for the People: Inventions and Innovations for Sustainable Development,” coincides with this year’s National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) which focuses on the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Winners from each category will qualify as finalists for the National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE) in 2020.
