A newly arrived Russian science lab briefly knocked the International Space Station out of position Thursday when it accidentally fired its thrusters. For 47 minutes, the space station lost control of its orientation when the firing occurred, a few hours after docking, pushing the orbiting complex from its normal configuration. "We haven't noticed any damage," space station program manager Joel Montalbano said in a late afternoon news conference. This image provided by NASA Thursday shows the 20-tonne Nauka module, also called the Multipurpose Laboratory Module as it approaches the International Space Station space station. After docking, the module's thrusters accidentally fired, putting the space station out of position for about three-quarters of an hour.
