International Astronomical Union Symposium Opens in Addis AbabaBy Staff ReporterOctober 7, 2019 (Ezega.com) -- The International Astronomical Union (IAU) symposium opens today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Remembering it’s establishment in 1919, the International Astronomical Union has celebrated its one hundred anniversary through hosting four-day symposium which starts today in the Capital of Ethiopia. The symposium will also give more visibility to the Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute that is a new research center. After Ethiopia joined the International Astronomical Union recently, it has received exposure to the developments in the space science Sector. On May 2019, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) has given Ethiopia the chance to name the newly discovered giant astronomical object.
