Ben Pentreath, the architectural and interior designer, celebrated his collaboration with Morris & Co with a decorative makeover of the Dorset home he shares with his husband, the gardener Charlie McCormick. The plain painted walls of the parsonage, built in 1820, have been covered in the extravagantly patterned wallpapers of the Queen Square collection, including recoloured versions of archive prints inspired by the English countryside: Blackthorn, Marigold and Willow Bough. The building pre-dates the original patterns by about 70 years, but the new palette of Pentreath’s favourite colours — olive green, turquoise, chocolate and burnt orange — is reminiscent of the 1960s.
