Combined with SK Hynix’s 12% market share, this will give SK Hynix over 20% NAND flash market share. SK Hynix has been looking at ways to expand its NAND flash business so it can have a larger market share. The Intel NAND flash acquisition appears to have helped SK Hynix achieve its goal. When this sale is completed SK Hynix will have achieved second place in both DRAM and NAND flash production capacity.
