In the fourth phase of its project to conserve heritage buildings that have no legal protection, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach) has received an approval from the Delhi government to start preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the next set of 19 monuments. The conservation project is a result of an agreement between the Delhi government and Intach. According to sources, the budget for the fourth phase has already been approved and the DPRs will be completed by the end of this year, around the same time when the third phase will be nearing completion. If all goes well, work on the 19 monuments will start early next year. Under first three phases, work was done on 52 monuments.
