Int’l Research Conference on ‘Challenges to Humankind in the face of new Technologies’ View(s):The 12th International Research Conference (IRC) on ‘Challenges to Humankind in the face of new Technologies’, with the aim of offering focused and in-depth discussions on a number of selected topics, together with plenary and technical sessions under several main topics and disciplines, was held on September 11-12, at the KDU, Ratmalana. Foreign participants/ Main speakers of the conference were renowned characters of high prominancy ( For Faculty of Graduate Studies) Ambassador V Adm Khan Hasham Bin Saddique & Maj.Gen.Asif Ali Hi from Pakistan, RAdm (Dr) Suyono Thamrin from Indonesia, Col Mohommed Ibrahim from Maldives, Maj.Gen. The respective conference attracted more than 500 papers, 1000 authors and exceeding of 2000 participants from diversified fields the world over each year and it is therefore a platform for prominant individuals from both military and civil backgrounds in disseminating their knowledge. KDUIRC is one of the largest International Conference’s held in the country and also the only Conference where both the Military and the Civil Researchers are brought together. General Sir John Kotelawela Defence University is one of the leading Universities in Sri-Lanka which is also the only University offering Graduate Courses in Defense Studies in the region of South Asia.
