Inside Track: Patrick and John Collison's cash engages US office tools start-up Nylas

Patrick and John Collison, the Stripe founders who sit atop The Sunday Times Rich List, have had a flutter on the growing popularity of workplace engagement tools. I hear that they have just invested in Nylas, a San Francisco developer that has raised $120 million (€101 million) in a series C funding round. SponsoredOther investors include Sebastian Siemiatkowski, a co-founder of the Swedish fintech Klarna, and Tiger Global, a New York fund. Tiger Global is also backing John Goulding and Joe Lennon’s Cork-based Workvivo, which raised $16 million in May to jazz up its employee communication tools. The Collisons’ money will help Nylas provide email, calendar and contact interfaces for developers looking to build their own apps.
