Deputy President William Ruto has embarked on an aggressive, daredevil strategy that insiders claim will make his march to State House unstoppable. In the past few weeks, Ruto has strengthened his strategy team, consolidated his Rift Valley backyard while going flat out to capture 'enemy territory'. As part of his strategy to capture the larger Nyanza region, Ruto on Thursday will return to Kisii, his second visit in less than a month. Ruto also seeks to have the Rift Valley under lock and key, despite efforts by his rival, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, to capture it. In the last two months, Ruto has intensified strategy meetings with leaders of the Kalenjins, Maasais, Turkanas and Samburus who dominate Rift Valley.
