This is part of an annual awareness raising event called "Earth Hour", which starts at 8:30pm local time. The symbolic candle lighting stands for the "Earth Hour" campaign. "Earth Hour" invites you to "turn off the lights and do something positive for our planet for 60 minutes – no matter what," writes WWF international.
