Diana and Charles visited South Korea in November 1992 during the final weeks of marriage - on December 9 their 'amicable' separation was announced. In unhappy snaps from the trip, Diana and Charles were seen looking distant and melancholy when together. Charles and Diana divorced in 1996 and she died on 31 August 1997. Di and Prince Charles stood side by side at a cemetery wreath-laying ceremony on the first day of their four-day visit to South Korea. A new paperback version of author Andrew Morton's biography of the princess, Diana: Her True Story, tells of a bitter exchang e of letters between the two royals.
