The Inqilab Mancha issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the government for the arrest of Hadi's killers, after thousands of people gathered at Dhaka's Shahbagh intersection this Saturday afternoon following the funeral prayers for Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha and one of the key leaders of the July mass uprising. After Osman Hadi's burial on Saturday afternoon, Abdullah Al Jaber, member secretary of the organization, took position at Shahbagh intersection and stated that if no response comes from the government regarding the arrest of Sharif Osman Hadi's killers by 5:15pm on Sunday, they will stage another sit-in at Shahbagh. Earlier, people began gathering at Shahbagh intersection from around 3:30pm onwards. Prior to this, Osman Hadi's funeral prayers were held at 2:30pm at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building. After the funeral prayers concluded, he was buried beside the grave of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam near the Dhaka University Central Mosque.
