Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Bambol Tolentino announced on Tuesday that the inoculation of Covid-19 vaccines for the country's delegates for the 2021 Vietnam Southeast Asian Games and Tokyo Olympics will begin on Friday at the Manila Prince Hotel. Tolentino furthered that the POC is now in the process of identifying the athletes that will be inoculated. Athletes, coaches, and officials bound for the Olympics in July as well as the partial list of the Philippine delegation in the Southeast Asian Games that are here in Metro Manila will be prioritized. Only the partial list from the Philippine delegation for the Southeast Asian Games will be inoculated for now, since there will still be tryouts for each of the national teams. Meanwhile, the national athletes, coaches, and officials from the provinces and abroad will be the second batch to be inoculated with the vaccines.
