The $25 million office building on Victoria Ave will house Inland Revenue's new office and emergency operations centres for two councils. The glittering glass shell of the Inland Revenue's new Palmerston North office is in place and its new residents should be in by October. The $25 million building on Victoria Ave will also host emergency operations centres for both the Palmerston North City Council and Horizons Regional Council. Inland Revenue will begin moving its 220 Palmerston North staff into the building in late September, shortly before the department's lease expires for its Ashley St office, where it has been since 1989. "As far as I'm aware, it will be the strongest building in Palmerston North."
