Each candidate requires 45 votes to win. Four candidates in fray — three from BJP and one from Congress. The total strength of Gujarat assembly has gone down to 176 after six Congress MLAs left the party recently. If two candidates get less than 45 first preference votes, the second preference votes will come into picture.
