Usually, patriotic songs convey strong messages to society in any kind of national crisis. During our Liberation War, powerful songs inspire and reassure our national spirit. Similarly, Ekusher Gaan “Amar Bhaier Rokte Rangano,” was the most influential song of the Language Movement, reminding numerous Bangladeshis about the conflicts of 1952. In terms of national influence this song can only be compared to “We shall overcome,” a great inspiring song for any difficult situation. For example, in 2016, the song was performed in 12 different languages by the artists of different countries.
