Inflation Fears Fade Amid Bond Rally, Rise in Rate Cut Bets


Investors’ expectations for U.S. inflation have declined to their lowest levels since the start of the year, a sign of growing concerns about a slowdown in the global economy. The 10-year break-even rate, a market-based measure of investors’ expectations for the average annual rate of inflation over the next 10 years, has fallen to about 1.7% from nearly 2% in late April.
