Infiniti USAInfiniti launched a mid-cycle update for its flagship SUV, the full-size QX80, at the Dubai International Motor Show earlier this month. Adhering to the brand’s “Powerful Elegance” design language, Infiniti’s largest and most expensive vehicle now displays menacing proportions and a more powerful presence, underpinned by a 400-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8. The SUV goes on sale in the U.S. in December, starting at $64,750 for the two-wheel-drive model and $67,850 for the all-wheel-drive version. The hood, which now sits higher than the previous model’s, is a central design element to the new QX80. The new QX80 has a much more premium feeling than the previous model, so I think it had some resonance.
