Infected 88-year-old man triggers Lam Tin restaurant outbreak probe

Only one untraceable case was reported by the Centre for Health Protection today - an 88-year-old man who had been to a “Chiu Fook” Chinese restaurant in Lam Tin where two customers had recently been infected. He lives in Ping Sin House of Ping Tin Estate in Lam Tin, the same public housing building as one of the infected customers. The Centre said they are now conducting epidemiological investigations and relevant contact tracing to find out how the man was infected. Of the local cases today, three of them were linked to previous local infections and only one with untraceable sources. The eight imported cases today were returnees from France, Pakistan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
