On Monday, Amazon announced Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo, will be joining its board of directors. Industries like technology and healthcare―industries which could benefit from female board representation―both had a meager 17% of board seats occupied by women in 2018. In her role as CEO for PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi was an invaluable role model for women in business.
