BATTLEFORD — Indigenous communities came together on Thursday to celebrate the first National Indigenous Peoples Day with songs, dances and poetry. Some of the dances were the jingle dress, chicken, and fancy shawl, which showed the unique and rich culture of First Nations and other Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
