Indiana abortion law signed by Mike Pence ruled unconstitutional

Washington (CNN) A federal appeals court has ruled that an Indiana abortion law signed by Vice President Mike Pence when he served as the state's governor is unconstitutional. The 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals issued its ruling on the law Thursday. When Pence signed the bill, House Enrolled Act 1337, Indiana already had some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation. The case was brought by Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky against the commissioner of the Indiana State Department of Health. The Indiana State Department of Health referred CNN to the Indiana Attorney General's Office, which declined to comment.
