Beginning April 2, 2025, the word appeared in every conversation. Mr Piyush Goyal’s promised bilateral trade agreement in the “near future” is as far away at the end of 2025 as it was in April, 2025. There are many weaknesses in the Indian economy that the government refuses to acknowledge or, perhaps, even understand. The once-upon-a-time commonly used word Secular has practically disappeared. For all these reasons, with profound shame and regret, I choose the word that defined India in 2025: HATE.
