Greyhound commandos of the Andhra Pradesh police attacked a Maoist camp deep in the forests, where at least 50-60 Maoists was gathered for a meeting, an official said, reports NDTV. Police say they were tipped off about a meeting of top Maoists officials in the area. Police suspected that senior Maoist’s leader could be among the dead. The police official said that combing operation was still continuing as there was information that there were some more Maoists roaming in the region. Malkangiri is among the districts controlled by Maoists in India.
