Indian investor furious after Kingi stops Sh60 million Kilifi Creek hotel project

An Indian investor has accused the Kilifi county government of high-handedness after he was stopped from putting up a Sh60 million hotel at the Kilifi Creek. Shahzid Ahmed Yusuf claims this is despite him getting all approvals from NEMA, National Construction Authority, and the National Lands Commission. The investor rushed to court after the project was stopped instead of resolving the issues raised by NCA." "Options are there but people need to sit and agree, engage all offices, including the National Lands Commission, NCA, and the county government," he said. Kilifi acting county secretary Bibi Fondo said the project if developed would interfere with ecological zones.
