He hails from Sarkarpara village of Murshidabad district in West Bengal. According to BGB sources, a patrol team of BGB-47 Battalion detained Afffan on Thursday evening after he intruded into Bangladesh through Morarpara border near the international border pillar No 157/2 (S). Later they handed Afffan over to Daulatpur police station. Confirming the matter, Daulatpur police station Officer-in Charge (OC) Nishikanto Sarkar, said: “A case was filed against the Indian citizen, Affan Ali, for intrusion and he was sent to court Friday noon.”
