The parents of 27 year old Shardul Thakur, fast bowler with the Indian cricket team, were injured after their bike skidded off the road on Tuesday night. Both were rushed to the Dr Dhawale Charitable Hospital at Palghar. Narendra Thakur was later shifted to Leelavati hospital as a brain clot was detected. Narendra and his wife Hounsa were returning to their Mahim (not Mumbai) village home after attending a wedding in Alyali in Palghar. However, Shardul has rushed from Pune - where he is currently based as a part of the Indian Premier League side Chennai Super Kings - to Mumbai to visit his parents.
