For the first time, railways will construct elevated corridors to overcome traffic congestion and get rid of the protracted land acquisition process. "To get rid of obstructions in the project, railways decided to construct the elevated corridor. Countries like Japan, France and Germany have developed elevated corridors for their high-speed trains. The Rohtak project has been approved and will be completed at the cost of Rs 315 crore. An elevated corridor will be financially more viable compared to the compensation amount to be given to the land owners.
