Indian Navy is scaling up its cooperation with Myanmar and has offered training of personnel of the country's Navy. The offer was made during Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh's ongoing visit to the neighbouring country. The Indian Navy chief arrived in Myanmar on February 17. During his visit, Admiral Singh held talks with the commander-in-chief of Myanmar's Navy Admiral Tin Aung San and called on Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, C-in-C Defence Services. Myanmar Navy is a member of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) and participates in the activities conducted under its construct.
