“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” said Mahatma Gandhi tens of years ago dreaming of a world of peace. Celebrating the birthday of the leader of the Indian independence movement and the distinguished philosopher, The Indian Embassy in Egypt organizes a set of events commemorating his life. On his 148 birthday anniversary, which matches the same month in which UN International Day of Non-Violence exists, the embassy organizes a lecture of Gandhi’s Peace principles and Non-violence titled with “Non-Violence: A Temptation and Challenge”. The embassy also organizes an Exhibition themed “Spirit of Gandhi” by the Egyptian Caricature Society. It aims to carry forward and realize the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of India.
