India's opening batsman Rohit Sharma on Tuesday became the leading run-scorer in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. With his 4th hundred in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Rohit Sharma equalled Kumar Sangakkara's record of scoring most tons in a World Cup edition. Rohit Sharma also became the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to breach the 500-run barrier in a World Cup. Rohit Sharma has now scored five World Cup hundred with the one coming in 2015. He overtook Sourav Ganguly and is now just behind Sachin Tendulkar who has 6 World Cup centuries.
