Here is some good news for India, as a think tank on Saturday stated that India would become the fifth largest economy in the world by 2025 and race to the third spot by 2030. The UK overtook the Indian economy in 2020 after the weakening of the Indian rupees in comparison to the American dollar. The CEBR forecasted that the Indian economy will expand by 9% in 2021 and by 7% in 2022. It said though Covid-19 delivered a major blow to the Indian economy, it was losing momentum due to fragile banking system. The think tank forecast that China will overtake the US in 2028 to become the world's biggest economy.
