India more than doubles paid maternity leaveA new law entitles Indian mother's to 26 weeks paid maternity leave, making it the third longest leave duration in the world. India's parliament has more than doubled its paid maternity leave from 12 weeks to 26 weeks. The move entitles working mums-to-be in that country the third longest duration of fully paid maternity leave in the world. Paid parental leave in New Zealand is set at 18 weeks. It will be available to women for their first two children only, after which they will be entitled to 12 weeks of paid leave.
