The Ambassador of India to Ethiopia met with Dr Belete Molla, Ethiopia’s Minister of Innovation and Technology, to discuss the roadmap for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of information technology, innovation, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on advancing collaboration in digital transformation, with a particular focus on supporting Ethiopia’s Digital Ethiopia 2030 initiative. Both sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the area of Digital Public Infrastructure, in line with the existing Memorandum of Understanding between India and Ethiopia on digital transformation. India highlighted its experience in developing scalable, inclusive, and citizen-centric digital platforms that could support Ethiopia’s digital governance and service delivery objectives. The interaction reaffirmed the commitment of both governments to further enhance bilateral ties and advance cooperation in innovation, digital public infrastructure, and technology-driven development.
